Feeding the ducks

As I mentioned before, we met some friends Thursday morning to go walking. It was a great change of scenery from our regular neighborhood walk, especially because there was a cute little lake with some very hungry ducks. This was Jake's first time to feed ducks, and he seemed pretty mesmerized by it all. Here's Brooklyn and Jake checking it out... Come on over, little duckies...

The ducks were definitely not afraid to come close for some bread. We had to keep an eye out so they wouldn't start to nibble little fingers and toes!

It was especially nice to have company for our morning walk. Nancy, Sarah and I enjoyed chatting and catching up. The kids seemed to also enjoy having each other's company. At one point, they both reached over and held hands. Brooklyn looks super happy!
