Play Date

A few weeks back, we met one of Jake's school friends at the Thinkery for a playdate.  The boys had so much fun!  I think they both really enjoyed having a friend with them.  Here's some pics from our day...

Luke had a lot of fun too...

I thought this was so cute: both working on the gears...

We were fortunate and the weather was beautiful the day we went after having lots of yucky, cold days.  Once the boys had seen everything inside, they spend a lot of time playing on the cool playscape outside.  While they were playing, Luke took it easy...

After playing through lunch without noticing any hunger, it was finally time to say good-bye to the museum so we could enjoy a late lunch at In-N-Out-Burger...

Happy Boy

Just a few pics of Luke.  Here he is playing in the kitchen.  Jake asked for a "blue kitchen" from Santa Christmas 2012, and I think Luke loves the kitchen more than Jake ever has.
We were still giving Luke baths in the infant bathtub in our kitchen until just a few weeks ago.  It seemed so much easier with Jake only taking showers we weren't doing any bathing on our knees.  Well, it's back to being on our knees!  We finally realized it is time to move Luke out of the baby tub into the big tub.  Here's his last 'little' baby bath...

Birthday re-do

Jake's birthday celebration was spoiled due to the nasty stomach bug attack of January 2014.  Fortunately, Chad and Cohen were able to come back in February to join Kevin and Jake for a UT basketball game for a birthday re-do.  Here are the boys as they were about to leave for the game.  This pic is absolutely PRECIOUS; what cute cousins!!
I had to include this one to show off Jake's super UT style.  He is supporting the Horns from head to toe...
We may have just two photos of the four of us since Luke was born (one being in the hospital), so it was time to snap a shot with our matching UT gear...

10 Months

The 10th month was an especially great month for our Luke.  It seemed overall very happy.  He's seemed to make a transition to not just being a Mama's boy.  He now LOVES Kevin, and is so happy to see him whenever he comes home from work.  He also seems more content to hang out with others even when I'm in the room which is a big change.  He can now blow kisses which is super sweet.  He also waves (usually) hello or good-bye.  We love you, sweet, sweet boy!

Valentine

When Jake takes interest in something and really cares about it, he can be very paticular and detail-oriented.  It's fun to watch his creative mind at work during those moments.  Making his Valentine sack for school was a project he really invested time and focus to.  Here's the final project and him at work...

Sweetness

One of my favorite qualities of "big brother" Jake is his nurturing, sweet side.  He always wants to hold Luke's hand in the car; always.  Now that Luke is getting bigger, he doesn't always want to hold Jake's hand which really upsets Jake.  There are still, however, so many car rides where I look back in the rearview mirror and my boys are hand in hand.  Those are some proud Mama moments.  One day, they actually fell asleep hand in hand, and I couldn't resist capturing the moment...

I love pasta!

I readily admit I'm not a fan of the baby food stage of life.  It's so nice and convenient when we're all able to eat the same foods at each meal.  Luke's doing pretty well with table foods, although he seems to have a dislike for fruits in their non-pureed form.  Somethings he definitely likes are all things carb: rice, bread and especially pasta!  This was his first time having ravioli and tortellini.  He's a big, messy fan!

Campbell's Puppy Party

Campbell celebrated turning 3 with a special puppy party.  It was fun for everyone to dress up like puppies!
