Christmas Eve 2010
After our Lenz Christmas, we headed to the Lawson side for lots of family fun and gatherings. We started Christmas Eve morning off with the traditional Barr family breakfast. I must have been too busy enjoying talking to all the family because I didn't get one single picture of any family, but I did snap one of this precious guy watching the older kids play Wii... Christmas Eve night, the Lawson side of the family came over to enjoy Big T's delicious homemade chili and our traditional stocking stuffer gift exchange. Jake got in some fun play time with his second cousins, Ryan and Brittany. Side note: aren't Ryan and Brittany gorgeous teens? They are not only gorgeous on the outside, but also on the inside. It's been a wonderful blessing to watch our flower girl and ring bearer grow up!
Jake made very fast friends with Ryan once again...
Here'a a pic of all the ladies: Me Maw, Aunt Tanya, me, cousin Kelly, Carla (Nana), Brittany, and cousin Tracy. We missed you, Cassy!
And a pic of the guys: Uncle Woody, Ryan, Big T, Rodney, Mark, Jake and Kevin. Wondering what the funny hand signs are all about? Rodney proudly displayed the "Watts family sign" for everyone, so all the guys felt the need to join in...
One of the stocking stuffer gifts in the adult stockings was a plug-in air freshener from Bath and Body Works. Jake saw the plug-in and must have thought it looked like a megaphone/microphone. He immediately grabbed one and held it to his mouth. This made for family entertainment for at least 20 minutes as he literally sang into it and danced in the middle of the room. He even had some of the adults following suit. What a way to sing Christmas carols!
And the last thing before heading to bed was the milk and cookies for Santa... Jake's advice is to test out your offerings to make sure it all will meet Santa's approval!
