Journey into Christmas

We were blessed in the Austin area with several local churches who offered free Gospel based activities during the Christmas season.  As I began working on this year's family Advent, I searched and searched for similar events.  I didn't find too much, but luckily I stumbled across "Journey into Christmas" at Grace Bible Church in Dallas.  It was on the calendar the same day as our re-scheduled extended family pics, so we were dressed in matching attire and got to have some extra family with us.  There was a petting zoo.  Definitely, Luke's favorite by far...
Jake loves petting zoos too.  His eyes do not love the flash, but I couldn't resist sharing the pics of him enjoying the animals...

All the kids loved the bunnies. Jake and Cohen named one of the bunnies Shadow.  They were both so sad to leave Shadow, and Jake immediately drew a picture of Shadow when he got home and asked if we could see him next year...
We got to enjoy a walk-through tour of Jesus' birth story with live actors.  I didn't get any pictures b/c the lighting wasn't too good for my camera, but it was very well done, and we will definitely seek this out again next year.  Following our tour, they offered cookies for the kids to decorate.  Of course, this was a hit...

Campbell really loved her icing!
They also had a art station...
and a photo booth...
Don't know why we spend money earlier that day for a family pic....this would look great on any Christmas card!
