Our next fun adventure from the checklist was exploring Mayfield Preserve. We've been to Mayfield Preserve before (once just to take pictures), but this time was far better because we added hiking to our visit. Jake LOVED this place so much it was hard to get him to leave. Of course, Mayfield is known for its peacocks and they definitely did not disappoint...

Both boys LOVED the ponds. We saw lots of fish and also several turtles...
I think Luke wanted to join the fish, so we definitely had to hang on to him...
After exploring the grounds, we ventured outside the gated area for a nice hike. Here are the guys showing their adventure faces...
Part of the hike led us right by the lake; it was so peaceful and pretty. It was truly a wonderful, fun adventurous day. We will definitely go back more often...
