SPARTAN

 For the past 3 years, Kevin has competed in Spartan races to help him get in shape and to have fun with his friends.  With Kevin training and telling us about the race and obstacles, Jake was immediately excited.  Around race time, Jake would pretend to race in the house with pillow obstacles, and he has told us he wished he could run a race.  Well, this year, we surprised him with the chance to run in his very own Spartan kids race.  He was super excited!  So, Kevin and Jake, along with our good friends, Joe and Ryan headed out for the kids to race.  Here are Ryan and Jake before the race...

It has been raining A LOT in Texas the last couple months, and the weekend of the race was no exception.  The race always has muddy obstacles, but the ground was pretty wet all over.  Luckily, the weather was great for their race, but Jake did slip in the mud before the race began so things were off to a muddy start before he even began...

 Jake did great, and most importantly, had so much fun!!!!  He's already talking about when he can run his next race!  Now we have two Spartans in the house...
