Luke

Our precious Luke turned 14 months a couple days ago.  Here are some things about him...

*His favorite toys in our house seem to be the toy kitchen, the singing Handy Manny tools, and Jake's set of tools

*He also loves to drum.  He'll point to the crate of musical instruments wanting everything out, but always spends the most time beating the drumsticks.

*He continues to be affectionate and snuggly.  When he's tired he snuggles up close and rests his head in your chest.  He gives great hugs, kisses, and pats you when he's showing love.

 *This month he has been working very hard on walking.  He's been very cautious and started with just a few steps at a time, but I'm happy to announce he is now an official walker!!!

 *He's quite the charmer and most of the time likes to be around other people.  Here he is at a playdate with some of Jake's friends as happy as can be...

 *I think the most repeated comment I get about him from others who help take care of him is "What an arm!"  He loves to throw things and can throw pretty well.  We've been working hard on only throwing balls, because all kinds of things have gone flying across the room.
*About 1 1/2 months ago, he started waking up in the morning with his shirt all twisted around.  After a few days, I realized he developed a habit when he's tired of putting his hand underneath his shirt and bringing it up to his mouth/chin to feel the material.  I guess it's comforting to feel the softness up against his face.
*He loves feeding other people.  When he's eating, usually at some point he'll hold out some food to offer it to whoever is feeding him.  If you actually take the food, he'll want to keep going and going.
*He loves music and has some great dance moves.  He likes to do the twist and he likes to flap his arms up and down to the music.

 *He LOVES sticks...

 *The only words he really says are "uh oh" and Mama.  Mama is said whenever he wants something, although he can make lots of other sounds that aren't really words.  In just the last week, he started making a sound that sounds just like "Let it Go." It truly sounds just like the song although I don't think he's ever heard that song.
*Although he hasn't said the word no, he definitely knows how to shake his head no.  Mostly he does this when he's offered food he doesn't want to eat.
