Sports!

 Jake was interested in playing soccer, basketball, and baseball, so for the first time, he played on three teams throughout the school year.  He played basketball with the Falcons and all but one player were from his elementary school so it was fun to see friends both at school and on the court!

 For baseball, Uncle Chad asked us if Jake would like to play on Cohen's baseball team, and said yes!!  It was truly awesome to get to see the two boys play together.  Jake was in heaven!  Luke was also happy to have built in playtime with Channing and Campbell every week.  Here are the boys at the first game...

 The team placed in 2nd overall through the season, and 2nd in the final tournament.  We played really well, and Jake definitely improved this season.  Go Orioles!!!

 And he has these two Gigantic trophies to show for it!

Three

 Luke turned 3 April 13! He got to enjoy a fun morning with Mommy and Daddy because Daddy went in late to work to spend some special time with Luke.  The day started with a special breakfast...

 and cupcakes!!!

A few things about Luke.
**He's really funny.  I don't exactly know how to explain this, but I think he purposely tries to get laughs from others and it works!
**He's really affectionate.  He's quick to give hugs and it's common for him to say "I love you" without any prompting.  He'll also rub my legs or back to show affection
**He's complementary.  He has told me "I like your shirt" or "Those are pretty flip flops."  (We're thinking words of affirmation just might be at the top of his love languages)
**He likes to smell things, especially his Mommy or his pjs.
**He's been sleeping in his "tent," and is very particular about it.  This means there are two blankets tucked into the top bunk, covering his bed so it's like it's his own tent
**He's been #1 potty trained since December, but refuses to poop in the potty.  It's maddening, but we're doing our best.
**He's a good helper.  He seems to like to help in the kitchen and doing other things around the house.
**He seems very social and loves to have "friends" over to the house.
**I honestly can't imagine our lives without him and am so thankful God gave us to him as such a special gift.  Seeing Luke and Jake playing and laughing together is the best, and I'm truly thankful.

Easter 2016

 I'm so behind on blogging, I think I probably will never catch up, but I will try to get a little closer.  We had a great Easter in Gainesville filled with lots of fun and lots of egg hunts!!  Here are the kids at the zoo for a hunt before visiting the animals...

Here's Luke waiting for the signal for the hunt to begin.  When the signal came, this is where Luke stayed.  He didn't move one single inch!!  I was super surprised because his personality tends towards being on the social and assertive side, but I guess egg hunts were not his thing.

 I think he got one egg b/c Mommy and Daddy picked it up for him because we could bear for him to go with nothing!

 We also enjoyed some festivities and a hunt at a church just down the street from Big T and Nana.  Cohen and Jake hit the jackpot at this hunt!

 Of course, we dyed eggs...

 And one last hunt at home.  These are always the best!

Great Wolf

 I was able to find a great deal on Groupon for Great Wolf Lodge so we decided to surprise the boys with an overnight stay to begin our Easter holiday.  They thought we were headed to Gainesville, then we pulled up to Great Wolf.  Jake looks at the sign, and says, "Great Wolf Lodge?"  I asked him, "What do you think we're doing here?" to which he replied "we're here to go to the bathroom."  I then got out of the car to check us in and Jake said to Kevin, "Daddy, are we really supposed to be here?"  Clearly, he was surprised and surprising our kids like this is not something we do often.  Once it finally registered, he was so excited.  We truly had so much fun!  We took advantage of every minute we had in the water park and the boys LOVED it!  We all loved going round and round in the lazy river, jumping through the waves in the wave pool, and shooting water on each other.  Jake got to ride every ride and Luke even went down some slides and loved them!  This one night trip was truly great and worth the splurge!  With all the water fun, I don't have many pictures, but here's just a few of our cute little wolves...

Arboretum

 Papa and Granmama gave us a family membership to the Dallas Arboretum, and we've already used it many times and had so much fun!  The first visit was just Jake and I, and we loved it so much, Jake brought Daddy back the next day.  The children's garden is like an outdoor children's museum and is so beautiful while being so fun!  Here's some pics of Jake on his adventures...

 We also got to bring along Channing and Campbell with us one time, and we've met friends there too!  Too much fun not too share!

 Living in Richardson means more cousin time, and we all love that!  S'mores on the back porch...
